Incorrect address or location data on Mapbox Maps
To report issues with Mapbox map data and geocoding results (address matching), use our Contribute tool.
How to contribute
Once on the Contribute page, you can suggest improvements by following these steps:
- Long press where on the map you'd like to make a change.
- Select the relevant category to your issue:
- Address: Add a missing address or update information on a current address.
- Business: Add or update a business'a data, everything from their address, phone number, website, business type and more.
- Road: Updating road names, access restrictions or speed limits.
- Speed Limit: Updating an error with a road's speed limit.
- Incident: Adding reference to incidents, anything from a disable vehicle to a permanent road closure.
- Road Clearances: Add or update a required road clearance, for example if there are limits to the weight or height a vehicle driving down that road.
- Fill out the required information in the form that appears, including any relevant proof.
- To help with submitting contributions, we recommend including proof such as photos or links to help verify the legitimacy of contributions.
- If you'd like to be notified of updates on this issue, make sure above the submit button, the check the Notify me when my issue has been resolved check box.
- Click the Submit button to submit your suggestions.
Troubleshooting
Make sure to long press on the map to bring up a draggable red marker before clicking the Contribute button, allowing you to specify where on the map you'd like your report to be.
Accessing the Contribution page through a Mapbox Map
A link to the Contribute page can also be located through most Mapbox Maps by clicking the Improve this map link as seen in the image below:
