Fonts

The font faces map styles render text with. Every command also takes the common flags — --username/-u, --token/-t, --profile, --id — described in Shared parameters.

mapbox fonts list

Every font face an account owns. Requires the fonts:list scope.

The listing is cached, per the API's own Cache-Control, so a face uploaded moments ago may not appear for a while afterward.

Examples:

mapbox fonts list
mapbox fonts list -o json

mapbox fonts upload

Upload a font face. Requires the fonts:write scope. Uploading the same face again replaces it.

Parameters:

ParameterDescription
--fileThe font file itself (.ttf, .otf, or similar), up to roughly 30 MB. Its bytes become the request body.
--dry-runCheck that the file exists and is readable, and print the request without uploading anything.

Examples:

mapbox fonts upload --file "./Open Sans Regular.ttf"

mapbox fonts delete

Delete a font face. Requires the fonts:write scope. Asks for confirmation at a terminal; --yes skips it. The API answers success even for a face that doesn't exist, so a confirmation isn't proof the face was there.

Parameters:

ParameterDescription
<face>The full face name, family and style together — the spelling fonts list reports, such as DIN Pro Regular rather than DIN Pro.
--dry-runPrint the request without sending it, and without asking.

Examples:

mapbox fonts delete "Open Sans Regular"
